Stranger Lurking on Campus

By Bill Lafferty

Dear Campus Community Member,

On Wednesday, May 5th, 2004, around 9:30pm, a student reported to safety and security that she observed a suspicious male within the Chapel. Security officers responded and made contact with the male. The male has been positively identified as Eli Benard Schiery of Gettysburg. Eli eluded Safety and Security and local borough police officers. The borough police are looking for Eli for trespassing on private property and eluding law enforcement officials. Eli has been known to use the following aliases: Terry Forbes, Terry Watson, Eli Watson, Terry Little, and Chris White. Eli has been on campus before. He has been observed sleeping within the College Union Building and he has frequented the campus Chapel. He was additionally removed from one of our fraternities by the fraternity membership.

It is believed by Safety and Security that Eli may be involved in a few recent larceny/petty theft cases that have occurred on-campus.

Eli is described as a light skinned African American male, 26 years of age, 6’2″ tall, approximately 160 pounds, closely cut brown hair, brown eyes, with a 4″ scar in the middle of his back.

Safety and Security and the local police are looking for your assistance. If you or someone you know has any information related to this incident that could prove useful in our investigative efforts, we are asking you to contact us at 337-6912.
