IFC Community Watch Program- Greg McVicker, President of the Inter Fraternity Council, introduced the Community Watch Program. The program will entail having two teams of two people patrolling areas of campus on Thursday and Friday nights. One team will patrol the area between SAE, Lambda Chi, and Sigma Nu. While the other team will patrol the area by the other fraternities as well as Water Street. The patrollers will be members of the IFC and later on may include other Fraternity brothers. Each member of the patrol will have to pass a breathalyzer test before being able to go on duty and will all be wearing a uniform shirt. McVicker did not indicate at what time there will be patrols on these nights.
Bullet Hole Renovation- Mike Bishop, manager of the Bullet Hole, discussed the proposed renovation of the Bullet Hole. Bishop said that they are in the beginning phase of renovation plans. He specifically stated that there are no plans of renovating the inside of the Bullet Hole itself, but the seating area adjacent to it. The plan is to give it a theme. They want to get old trophies, photos, and sports equipment and frame them around the Bullet Hole. He is looking for suggestions from the students and is encouraging that the students setup a committee to help with this project. He is also said that the actual renovation would occur over a break. Christmas Break is being strongly considered, however Bishop is unsure if the plans will be done at that time. If you have any questions or suggestions you contact Mike Bishop Furthermore, he is also said that Ike’s Hacienda will remain the same for the foreseeable future. He explained that sales have been good and there is no need to change it at this time.
