Sept. 19, 4 p.m.: The first meeting for the Spectrum will be held in the Spectrum Office in Plank Basement.
Sept. 19, 5 p.m.: Africana Studies and the Department of Economics present the sixth annual Derrick K. Gondwe Memorial Lecture in Breidenbaugh Hall 201, Joseph Theater. This year’s lecture is entitled “The Challenges of TB & HIV in Botswana,” and will be presented by Dr. Esther Kip.
Sept. 19: Last day to register for Sign Language Classes. 8 sessions will be held on Thursday nights from 7-8:30 p.m. in Glatfelter 101. Sept. 20, 8 p.m.: Allies House will host a screening of the Glee Season 3 Premiere at 239 Carlisle St. Snacks and drinks will be provided and an informal discussion about LGBT portrayal in television will follow. All are welcome to attend.

Sept. 21, 12:30-1:30 p.m.: The Women’s Center will provide a small group setting to frankly discuss intimate partnerships, define a healthy relationship, raise awareness about issues of control and abuse, and learn dating relationship skills. The event will take place in Ice House Complex room 201 and lunch will be provided.
Sept. 21, 7:30 p.m.: The Eisenhower Institute will present its Constitution Day Lecture in CUB 260, featuring Dr. David Nichols, a leading authority on the presidency of Dwight D. Eisenhower. Nichols will discuss his most recent book, titled Eisenhower 1956: The President’s Year of Crisis – Suez and the Brink of War.
Sept. 22, 12-1 p.m. The first Weight Watchers session will be held in McCreary 202. Sessions will be held on Thursdays Sept. 22-Jan. 26. The cost for the 17 week series is $186. To participate, e-mail Diane Cooper at dkcooper@gettysburg.edu.
Sept. 22, 5-7 p.m.: Life and Fire Safety Day will take place at Servo, sponsored by DPS, ATO, The Women’s Center, Red Cross, Adams County 911 Center, Gettysburg Fire & Ambulance, Gettysburg Borough Police Department, and PA State Police. There will be fire extinguisher demonstrations, gift drawings, blood pressure readings, emergency vehicle displays, handouts and fire hats.
Sept. 23, 3:30 p.m.: Kyle Rhood ’08 will give an Alumni Career Talk on Corporate Finance and Banking in Science Center 300.
