In Response to Gburgforum.com’s ServoCam Article

Hi Kim,
Just wanted to drop you a line about your Servo Cam article. It turns out I’m the guy who originally installed the camera system as part of a computer science project in my junior year. We setup a dining website as well…which I’m sure has since gone defunct.

The original idea for the project was hatched by a tech guy named Mike Martys who was a sys-admin for G-burg at the time. His original plan involved motion controlled camera’s via the web but I wasn’t able to implement that inside Servo so all they got was a dual angle setup I’m amazed they’re still in use as I installed them back in 1995. A decade ago…wow!

ps. There were quite a few theories as to why we set them up but I think the best explanation is that we just thought it’d be cool…what can I say…we’re geeks.
